Congratulations to Mackenzie Hutchins, 2nd Grade Teacher and recipient of the April Stronger Together Award

Mackenzie puts her heart into her work and has a high patience level with her classroom. Each day, she gives her students a fresh slate and always is supportive in making their day a great one! She makes sure her students know they can always begin again and to learn from their mistakes. Mackenzie thrives on researching new ideas or practices that will support her students. Her classroom is always fun and allows lots of room for creativity. She also practices equity in the classroom ensuring each child receives what they need to be successful, while being aware of how those needs affect other students in her room.

Mackenzie is a natural leader, she enjoys leading teams and taking on additional responsibilities where she is able to provide valuable ideas and offers solutions to problems. She does not shy away from difficult conversations and always finds a way to turn a situation into a positive one. You can find her collaborating on individual teams, with teachers and other district staff. She is always willing to offer ideas and is open to all feedback from others. The School District of Arcadia is grateful for Mackenzie and thank her for her dedication to the Arcadia community.
