Meet Our Coaches!
Brooke Barrios - Girls Soccer
Brooke Barrios has been passionate about soccer since she started playing at the age of 7. She was a starting varsity center midfielder for Albert Lea High School from 7th through 12th grade and played on multiple MYSA summer teams, including a C1 girls team from Owatonna, MN, and a C1 boys team from Albert Lea, MN. Brooke also competed at a high level as part of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Minnesota team for three years, traveling across the country for camps and games. Her hard work and dedication led her to play D2 college soccer at Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. Brooke is excited to take on this new role and looks forward to helping the team grow their soccer IQ this season. Go Raiders!
Julie Valladares Gomez - Girls Soccer Co-Head Coach
Playing soccer taught me important lessons in teamwork and discipline. I'm excited to give back to the program that I was once a part of and help players grow both on and off the field. I'm looking forward to coaching, building a strong team culture, and having some fun along the way!
Jacob Wendt - Track & Field
Entering his fourth year as a track coach for Arcadia (and seventh year overall), Jacob Wendt is eager to build on the successes of past seasons. With newly implemented training strategies, he and the coaching staff are committed to pushing student-athletes to reach their full potential. While much of the coaching staff is new to Arcadia, they are well-prepared and excited for the upcoming season!
Mike Henning - Track & Field
Coach Mike Hennig is excited to join Arcadia’s track & field program and help lead the team alongside a dedicated coaching staff. This will be his sixth year coaching the sport and his first in Arcadia after five years as an assistant at Holmen High School. He looks forward to developing Arcadia athletes both on and off the track while continuing to grow as a coach. With a strong focus on development and performance, the team is eager for a great season ahead and excited for the opportunities to come!
