High School Trimester Three Student Highlight

AGRISCIENCE

Janet Maldonado Ortiz - I have had Janet in several classes in the past and have her in WIN and Greenhouse this Trimester. Janet is a very kind, funny and hardworking person. Janet is always willing to help, whether it is in the greenhouse or translating for another student. Janet is a pleasure to have in my classes

ART

Mario Lopez - Mario always goes above and beyond with his art and as my TA. He recently has been making GIGANTIC bowls and vases in his advanced ceramics class. Mario is also our Art Club President and stays late to help clean the room after the kids leave and helps keep me organized. As a TA he keeps the room organized and helps accomplish all the extra tasks we have in the art room. He also helps other students stay on top of things. Mario is simply AMAZING at everything he does!

BAND

Molly Servais - Molly is always stepping it up in band and in the music department. She devotes a lot of her time to music and seeing her grow has been wonderful to see.

BUSINESS

Ricardo Juarez - Ricardo greets me everyday with a handshake and leaves the class with a kind word. He is quick to learn and is becoming a great, mature young man.

CHOIR

Kaelyn George - Kaelyn is such a great leader in Chamber Choir and The Accidentals. She is respectful, responsible, and kind, plus she is a hard worker, and a team player. Kaelyn is on time and knows her part for every song. If she doesn't get something, she comes in to practice it with me, without me asking her to do so. Kaelyn is definitely a ray of sunshine in the choral department. Thanks for your positive energy and leadership!

ENGLISH

Adan Cortez Gama -  Adan has been working hard in his classes, and always has a positive attitude and spirit!

Jordan Walters -  Jordan has a strong work ethic and strives to get the highest grade possible. Moreover, Jordan has shared her opinions more and more in class throughout the year, which shows the desire to continuously improve herself.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT

Yessica Feria Ortiz -  Yessica has been consistently working hard throughout the year, especially in English and Geometry. She takes her learning seriously and asks insightful questions. She is kind, respectful and determined to improve. I am so proud of her efforts and achievements this year!

HEALTH SCIENCE

Amaury Valdovinos -  Amaury is thoughtful and respectful. He contributes to class in a positive way and has insightful answers to share. He is helpful to others, gets along with classmates, and seems genuinely interested in learning.

MATHEMATICS

Diana Juarez -  Diana is an amazing math student. She is very quiet, but when called on is able to explain and describe complex problems with clarity and finesse. She is always a helpful and kind group member when we do whiteboard work. Congratulations Diana!

Vanessa Ortiz Feria -  Vanessa is an extremely hard worker. She really wants to understand the material. She is also a great leader in the classroom.

DRAMA

Ithzel Cossio Sotelo - Miss Cossio Sotelo is SUCH an amazing student, actor, and young lady. Her talents reach far from the stage. Ithzel's positive personality, helpful nature, caring attitude, intelligent foresight, and strong character makes her and EXCELLENT student of the month. Plus I just love her to bits. Congrats, Mrs. Schock

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Nicolas Juan Esteban - Nicolas is in our Intro to Fitness class for Physical Education. He has been a great leader of the class with his effort and attitude towards lifting and working out. He leads by example and has done a great job perfecting his form for all our different lifts! Keep working hard Nicolas!

SOCIAL STUDIES

Lydia Hoesley - Lydia is a great student of history - she makes connections between the past and the present, and she asks insightful questions. Lydia is also a leader that recognizes the strengths and talents of her group members and makes sure to include everyone.
