Honoring Arcadia School Districts National Board Certified Teachers!
In celebration of National Board Certified Teachers Week, we are thrilled to recognize Arcadia's eight teachers who have earned this prestigious certification. It is a testament to their commitment to providing the highest quality education for our students. Their expertise and experience bring immense value to our classrooms, inspiring and empowering our students to reach new heights.
To be nationally board-certified means that a teacher has undergone a rigorous assessment process conducted by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS). This assessment is designed to evaluate a teacher's knowledge, skills, and practices in their specific teaching field, and it is considered the highest level of professional certification for educators.
Arcadia is fortunate to have not just one or two but eight exceptional teachers among the 1,685 in the state of Wisconsin. This is 50% above the per district average in the state. Arcadia’s NBCTs are:
- Allie Appel, Instructional Coach
- Andrea Izdepski, Kindergarten Teacher
- Emily Instenes, Elementary Special Education Teacher
- Kareen Smith-Fogliano Special Education Teacher
- Amber Teale Middle School & High School Spanish Teacher
- Tony Hart, Associate Elementary Principal
- Carrie Krause, High School English/Language Arts Teacher
- Ron Poppie, MS/HS Social Studies Teacher
- Regina McGuire, VALLE Kindergarten Teacher
Please join us in celebrating Arcadia's National Board Certified Teachers and showing our appreciation for their accomplishments this week and beyond!
