National School Counseling Week | Meet Our Counselors!

Hello Arcadia Students and Families,

My name is Mikayla Meyer and I am the school counselor and guidance teacher at Arcadia Elementary School. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Superior last year with a Master's degree in K-12 Counseling. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Development and Family studies.

I currently live in Eau Claire with my partner, Aaron, and our adorable dog, Floki. I moved here less than one year ago and I have loved it! I love to hike, garden, and just about anything else that gives me an excuse to be outdoors. In the colder months, I enjoy hot beverages and good company along with the occasional football game. Go Pack Go!

I look forward to working with you this Spring.

Mikayla

Hello all,

My name is Sarah Kyes, my students call me Ms. Kyes (rhymes with eyes). I’m the school counselor for Arcadia Middle School and I’m also supporting at Arcadia High School. This is the start of my third year of school counseling and I have enjoyed getting to know the students, families and staff here.

My office is located on the second floor of the middle school. Here you can find me meeting with students, reaching out to families and connecting with community resources. I often work with students who are struggling with negative emotions, low-self-esteem and challenges making friends.

I’m a new homeowner and get to make the beautiful drive down from Eau Claire each day. In my free time I enjoy cooking, spending time with my family and snuggling with my cat.

I’m excited to get to know all of you better.

Sincerely,

Sarah Kyes
