Meet the High School Heath & Physical Education Department

Meet Our Outstanding Physical Education and Health Teachers

Tim Braunschweig and Natalie Anderson bring a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to our Physical Education and Health Department, fostering the development of healthy, active, and confident students.

Tim Braunschweig
Tim enjoys spending quality time with his three children, often playing, running, golfing, and hunting during his free time. After eight seasons coaching track and field at Arcadia, Tim stepped down this season to dedicate more time to his family, while continuing as the head coach of the cross country team—a role he has held for the past three years after coaching middle school cross country.

With 13 years of teaching experience, Tim teaches High School Physical Education. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (2010). A Wisconsin Health and Physical Education presenter, Tim recently guided advanced fitness students in using AI to create personalized fitness programs for use in the weight room.

Natalie Anderson
Natalie thrives on building positive relationships, staying active, and continually improving both personally and professionally. She enjoys volleyball, hiking, paddleboarding, and traveling. Natalie teaches Health Science and Physical Education classes, bringing 21 years of teaching experience to our school. She holds a Master of Education in Applied Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.

Natalie's accolades include being a Wisconsin Health and Physical Education Presenter, an Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Educator, and a Fuel Up to Play 60 National Moderator/Mentor. Recently, her Body Shop Fitness students completed a tinikling project to demonstrate rhythms and cardiovascular endurance, while her high school health students explored stress management and mental health. Her Culture of Healthcare class engaged in hands-on activities with guest speakers from fields like nursing, physical therapy, and genetic counseling.

Department Mission and Recent Highlights
The Physical Education and Health Department is committed to equipping students with tools for lifelong health—physically, emotionally, and socially. Students gain a deep understanding of their bodies and minds, emphasizing the importance of fitness and overall well-being.

This month, Body Shop Fitness students are gearing up to perform their own aerobic dance routines, while health students will dive into topics like healthy relationships and consent. The Culture of Healthcare class is preparing for field trips to Rivertown Dental, Arcadia EMS, Arcadia Chiropractic, and Tri-County Hospital to explore careers in healthcare.
