Middle School Honor's Choir in Eau Claire

On Thursday, January 16, 2025, 40 Arcadia Middle School students traveled to UW-EauClaire for a Middle School Honors Choir with other students from the greater Wisconsin-Minnesota area, under the direction of Erin L. Stier.

The following students were selected to be a part of the UW-EauClaire SATB MS Honors’ Choir:  7th Graders: Yadisley Baca, Eleanor Bremer, Dariel Garcia, Kailen Smith, Madi Malpert, Mily Rebolledo, Lexus White, Camila Bonilla, Jaylein Cruz, Yoselin Martinez, Breyelle Young, Ben Hund, Emir Sanchez, Carsin Scow, Kanye Vazquez, Joaquin Gomez, and Daniel Mantufar.  8th graders:  Sonya Garza, Lexi Halling, Sandy Sanchez, Kiva Sanchez, Myren Ubaldo, Lesly Zuniga, Ixa Lopez, Britany Vergara, Delilah Montoya, Irvin Montalvo, Jossgar Flores, Dwayne Bautista, Oliver Moreno, and Saul Silva.  We also had a few 6th and 8th Grade students from Holy Family that were accepted: Claire Schank, Abby Slaby, Emelia Krett, Allyssa Bagniewski, Kylie Brown, Briza Wojchik, Mabel Rumpel, and Emma Slaby.

All of these students learned and performed El Cielo Cantata Alegria by Roger Bergs, Found/Tonight arranged by Jacob Narverud, We Are the Voices by Jim Papoulis, Crowded Table by Andrea Ramsey, and Go! Said the Star by Ryan Main.  They had a very full day of singing and had fun meeting other singers from several different districts throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota.

The concert featuring both the SSA Honors’ Choir and the SATB Honors’ Choir was held at 6:00pm on Thursday, January 16, in Ganter Hall at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire - Haas Fine Arts Center.  All of the students from Arcadia really represented the Arcadia School District well.  I am so incredibly proud of these students, and I want to thank their parents and our administration for their support.
