Each month all staff members have the opportunity to nominate their peers for the School District of Arcadia Stronger Together Award. The purpose of the Stronger Together Award is to recognize employees who serve our district in an exceptional manner by collaborating with staff, inspiring students and engaging families.   

We are thrilled to announce that Dana Haines has been selected as October’s recipient of the Staff Stronger Together award! Dana has consistently gone above and beyond in her role, with a deep commitment to supporting our special education students and ensuring their success in the regular classroom.

Dana’s dedication is evident in the way she works tirelessly to create visuals, schedules, and routines that empower her students to self-advocate and fully participate in their learning environment. Whether it’s designing personalized visual schedules or introducing innovative tools, Dana ensures that every child feels included and capable of reaching their fullest potential.

What truly sets Dana apart is her collaborative spirit. She works hand-in-hand with classroom teachers, therapists, pathologists, county personnel, support staff, and parents to build strong, productive relationships. Her communication with teachers is seamless, as she ensures that both the students' needs and the teachers’ classroom goals are met, fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Dana’s kindness, patience, and care do not go unnoticed by her students. Her ability to connect with them on a personal level ensures that they feel supported and valued, and as a result, they thrive. Her willingness to go the extra mile, often using her own time to create resources, speaks volumes about her passion and dedication to the students she serves.
