AHS Demonstrates Strong Gains for the Second Consecutive Year

Our recent School Report Card data confirms we are on a clear path of significant improvement. Over the past three years, Arcadia High School has shown remarkable growth in all areas, highlighted by a 9.0-point climb in our overall state score. I would like to recognize our students, staff, and families for their hard work in helping us realize these gains.  

While we remain committed to meeting all expectations, we are proud to share evidence of this powerful momentum across all key indicators:

  • Overall Score: Our score has seen a strong climb, increasing by 9.0 points—from 46.9 (2022-23) to 55.9 (2024-25).
  • Target Group Outcomes (Closing Gaps): This indicator, which reflects our critical focus on equity and support, saw the most significant annual improvement, jumping by 13.9 points (from 39.2 in 2023-24 to 53.1 in 2024-25).
  • Growth Score: Our students are making substantial and consistent academic gains, reflected by a 14.0-point growth in this area over three years (from 30.2 in 2022-23 to 44.2 in 2024-25).
  • Achievement Score: The score for current student performance also jumped by 11.7 points over the three-year period (from 35.8 in 2022-23 to 47.5 in 2024-25).
  • On-Track to Graduation Rate: Our rate remains high at 90.0% , which is above the state average of 87.0%, demonstrating our students’ readiness for their next steps.

We are committed to building on this progress as we work to meet and exceed our community's high academic standards.

 

Beyond the Report Card: High-Value Student Engagement

Arcadia High is proud to significantly exceed the state average in crucial measures of student success and engagement that are not fully reflected in the school's overall report card score:

  • Dual Enrollment: 60.7% of our students successfully completed dual enrollment courses , compared to the state average of 26.6%. This allows our students to earn college credit while still in high school.
  • Industry-Recognized Credentials: We are above the state average in student attainment of Industry-Recognized Credentials (7.6% compared to the state average of 5.5%), ensuring our students are career-ready.

The Arts: We demonstrate strong support for the arts, with participation rates above the state average in all high school arts courses: Art & Design (32.7% vs. 28.4% state average), Music (33.9% vs. 25.3% state average), and Theater (3.6% vs. 1.3% state average).
