Students Participate in Mini Business World

The Wisconsin Manufacturer's Commerce foundation includes Mini Business World; a fun-filled day for students to become entrepreneurs. All four schools of the TVC participated in this event. Arcadia sent 28 students to the Independence Campus of Western Technical College. While there they learned about the many products manufactured in Wisconsin and then came up with an innovative idea. The students created a prototype, figured financials, and determined target markets for the idea. At the end of the day, they had to "shark tank style" promote their product.

Products ranged from a style app to a seat heater/cooler to a washer/dryer that automatically drops it into the dryer. Students worked in groups of five, and were put in groups with different schools. The event emphasized creativity, organization, and communication skills. Winners each received a $10 gift card from a variety of businesses.
